AiSensy has rolled out an important update (beta) in collaboration with Meta that enables businesses to utilize the complete potential of their WhatsApp Business API account without verifying their Facebook Business Manager account.

That's right! Facebook Business Manager verification is no longer mandatory to verify your WhatsApp Business Display Name and send Broadcasts to Unlimited users.

In this guide, we'll be explaining what you need to do to send Broadcasts to Unlimited users seamlessly.

Pre-requisites to Send Broadcasts to Unlimited Users

Here are the things you need to send Broadcasts to Unlimited users:

  1. You must be an AiSensy user. If you haven't yet signed up, start your free trial right now

  2. Your WhatsApp Business API must be live. Once you've signed up, apply for the WhatsApp Business API from the dashboard. You can check out this video to learn how to apply for the WhatsApp API, or you can schedule a call with our team as well.

How to send Broadcasts to Unlimited users in one go?

Once your WhatsApp Business API goes live, you will have a Broadcast limit of 250 unique users/ day.

To send messages to Unlimited users, you will need to follow some steps.

First, you need to upgrade your WhatsApp Broadcast limit from 250 to 1000 Unique users/ day.

To upgrade your WhatsApp Broadcast limit from 250 to 1000 unique users, you need to send messages to 1000 unique users in a time period of 30 days.

Follow the steps mentioned below to upgrade your WhatsApp Broadcasting limit👇

1. Send messages to 1000 Unique users within 30 days

2. Send High-Quality messages (Quality Rating should be green throughout this process)

1. Send messages to 1000 Unique users within 30 days

The only way to increase the WhatsApp Broadcast limit is by getting promoted to the next tier. This can be done only if you send messages to 1000 unique users within a period of 30 days.

You can do this easily by sending broadcasts to 250 unique users consecutively for 4 days (given your Quality rating isn't affected and stays green)

*Only delivered messages would be considered in this process.

Once you've sent Broadcasts to 1000 unique users within a period of 30 days, your Broadcast Limit will upgrade to the next tier.

How can a business increase its daily messaging limit beyond 1K unique users per day?

The only way to increase the WhatsApp Broadcast limit is by getting promoted to the next tier. This can be done only if:

1. The quality rating is not low.

2. You need to send messages to at least half the unique users of your current WhatsApp messaging limit within a consistent duration of 7 days.

E.g., if your current Broadcast limit is 1k, you must send messages to at least 500 users within the next 7 days to upgrade your Broadcast limit and move to the next tier.

Similarly, if you send 500 messages on Day 1 itself, your Broadcast limit will upgrade to 10k on the second day itself.

See the chart below to the left to understand how a business moves to the next Tier.

Upgrade whatsapp broadcast tier

Here are the multiple WhatsApp Broadcasting Tiers:

  • Tier 1 allows you to send WhatsApp Broadcast to 1000 unique users in one day.

  • Tier 2 allows you to send WhatsApp Broadcast to 10,000 unique users in one day.

  • Tier 3 allows you to send WhatsApp Broadcast to 1,00,000 unique users in one day.

  • Tier 4 allows you to send WhatsApp Broadcast to as many users as you want in a single day.

Once you've upgraded to WhatsApp Broadcasting Tier 5, you'll be eligible to send Broadcasts to unlimited users in one go.

2. Maintain good quality rating

You must send high-quality messages to maintain a good quality rating to reach Broadcast Tier 1, which unlocks a Broadcast limit of 1000 users/ day.

The WhatsApp Business API clients’ Quality Rating shows the message quality that your customer received in the past 24 hours. It also depicts how well your WhatsApp Broadcast/Campaigns are performing. There are three different quality states:

1. Green: High Quality
2. Yellow: Medium Quality
3. Red: Low Quality

Your quality rating must be high to reach WhatsApp Broadcasting Tier 1. If your quality rating declines, your WhatsApp Broadcast limit won't increase.

How to improve the WhatsApp Quality Rating?

To improve or maintain a high WhatsApp Quality rating

1. Make sure messages follow the WhatsApp Business Policy
2. Only send messages to users who have opted in to receive messages from your business.
3. Make the messages highly personalized and useful to users. Avoid sending open-ended welcome or introductory messages.
4. Be mindful of messaging frequency; avoid sending customers too many messages a day. Be thoughtful of informational messages, optimizing for content and length.

How does WhatsApp define a high-quality message in this case?

WhatsApp evaluates a variety of factors to determine the quality of messages sent to customers.

Best practices to ensure high-quality messages include:

  • Expected: Make sure that your customers have opted in to receive this information from your business on WhatsApp.

  • Timely: Ensure that your conversation is connected to time-bound topics, such as

  1. Seasonal or other recurring event related to previous purchases.

  2. A product recently browsed or purchased within a specific interval of time.

  • Relevant: Share personalized information with your customers based on a previous signal that is related to their interests with a clear call-to-action, such as additional information that is related to a product browsed or related to a valuable offer.
